The 4*3 Perspective LLC

The 4*3 Perspective LLC supports organizations and companies to make cultural and systemic changes that improve the work they do and the way they support all people, but especially those with disabilities.

Pulling from Person-Centered Practices and Universal Design, while also capitalizing on Alva’s lived experiences as a woman with a disability, our trainings, speeches, and consulting style aim to make the conversation around and understanding of disability digestible for all people.

About Alva

Alva Gardner is a Keynote Speaker, trainer, and disability inclusion consultant who uses her unique, lived experience as a woman with a disability to infuse her speeches, trainings, and consulting work with impactful and real-life examples.

Since her first public speaking gig at 8 years old, Alva has passionately worked to break down people’s assumptions and preconceived notions about what it means to live with a disability.

Having earned her Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley, Alva now runs her own company, The 4*3 Perspective LLC. She works with organizations and companies to make systemic changes that improve the work they do and the way they support all people, but especially those with disabilities. She is passionate about bringing disability into spaces and conversations where it is not already being included - meeting companies where they are at in their diversity and inclusion journey.

Alva has been honored to work with dozens of companies and organizations, including Blue Shield, National Center on Advancing Person-Centered Practices and Systems, RES SUCCESS, Alameda County Public Authority for IHSS, UCSF Medical School, and WideOrbit.

As a speaker, Alva has delivered trainings and keynote addresses nationally on topics including disability and sexuality/relationships, Person-Centered Practices and Facilitation, disability inclusion strategies and best practices, the working dynamic between Direct Support Professionals and those they support, and disability representation in advertising and media.

Alva has always considered herself an open book, with a sassy, tell-it-like-it-is way of speaking. She hopes that, by being open and honest about her experiences, she can break down people’s assumptions and preconceived notions about what it means to live with a disability.
